How can I remove people from contacts without deleting on facebook?

My phone contacts paired with facebook friends and loaded up my phone. I tried to delete a few FB contacts from phone but error message listed "delete contact/friend from facebook". I dont want to remove them from FB, just phone. Please advise.

As far as I know, you don't have an option to add a Facebook account without adding your Facebook contacts to your phone. However, when you are viewing your contacts, you can tap on the bar that says "Contacts: All contacts" and it will bring up a menu that will let you filter what contacts you see. Using this menu, you can make it so that Facbook contacts won't show, but they will still be on your phone.

Just for the record, you don't have to Add your FACEBOOK contacts to MY CONTACTS if you only wish to add your FACEBOOK account.  Just don't put FACEBOOK into "MY ACCOUNTS" and the contacts won't automatically get added to your phone - but you can still set up your FACEBOOK APP. The reverse of that is true as well -- if you ONLY remove the FACEBOOK account from MY ACCOUNTS, it will remove all FB contacts from your CONTACTS ..  but not remove them from FB itself.

I guess I should have clarified that, I was only talking about adding Facebook to "My Accounts". Thanks for clearing that up Cody21.
