How do I change the number of rings before VM answers?

I have a Motorola Android and need to have the VM answer the phone on the second or third ring. I can't find anywhere how to do this. On my old T-Mobile Dash I could select this. I looked on the net and no one has a good answer for me yet. Any help out there? Thanks

You can't. It is a specific time before the call goes to VM. Each phone may have a different ring pattern and time between ring.

Hi bookdoug,

That is a great question. The standard length that a device rings before it goes to voicemail is about 30 seconds. The lenght of the ring cannot be changed.

Thanks,

You had a great reply, thank you for taking the time necessary to NOT

answer the question. I'd really appreciate it if you would take the time to

ANSWER the question, however. Thanks ahead of time for your time and effort

to help me out.

Budone is correct. due to the VM platform, it cannot be changed. There may be an app that you can download that may can help, check out the play store and search. Hope this helps.
