Of the last half a dozen phones I've had I have had terrible cell reception. I drop calls when other people stnding right beside me just talk away with no problems. Even my currnt phone, BB Storm, is bad when getting out on fringe areas when other people I work with have no problems. So, how's the X in htis area?

Well I can not speak for other users but I have had the best reception with the Droid X, I have not had one dropped call yet but on the same note I havent had any reception with any of the phones I have had since I switched to Verizon, all other companies would either drop a lot or simply not give reception at my house but I can use the Droid X without issues.

Well, I've had many with crappy reception, others on verizon, same network as I, will have no problems. I think it has something to do with my head. But I need a phone with good reception quality.

Not trying to sound like a smarta$$, but what does that have to do with the phones reception? Am I missing something?

I didn't think about that. Good point! I do have a bluetooth but I don't like wearing it all the time, just when in the truck and I know I'm going to be on the phone a bunch. Otherwise I find it uncomfortable, and I even have one of those high dollar jawbones.

I'll add my two cents in. The reception on the Droid X is superb, excellant, marvelous, etc. However, I don't care what kind of phone you have, nor who your carrier is, but if you are in a "dead" zone, anything will be horrible. Yet, by what you said, that other people are yakking away, I'm assuming you are in a fairly good zone, so you should be happy with the Droid X. The BB Storm 1 and 2 have received horrible reviews and we have several ex-BB storms who are now Droid X lovers.
