Curious question... Anyone hear any rumors on how many Droid phones each Best Buy and Verizon is getting for Friday?
I know one of my local Best Buy has taken a number of preorders (20+ last time I saw the list) . I'm curious how many of those people are actually going to get phones Friday...

The Verizon rep on Twitter DroidDoes says that all locations should have plenty of stock. Seems they have been loading up for quite a while. I imagine part of the presale at Best buy was to get a feel for how many they needed to have on hand at each store. So probably best to be on the list there as there will likely be a lot of interest aside from those who prebought.

One local store in my area (NW Florida) said they had 70 units in stock, if that means anything. I thought that was pretty impressive, considering the area is not what you'd call urban.
The biggest problem I expect to encounter is waiting for a sales rep to become available. People tend to take time to look at cell phones prior to purchase... and ask tons of questions. Very few will be like... "OK, I want the Droid. Sign Me Up." without asking questions. I am wondering... what is the best time to go in? I think 7 am is too early as my hubby would think I am insane, and then the whole family would know that I am crazy... so would I be OK if I wait till 10 am?
That's good to here. I'm 13th on the list at my Best Buy - I was expecting them to get 12.
My area mall alone has 20 Droids and 40 Eris models... my town is only 35000 people. We also have a dedicated Verizon shop too which I'm sure has plenty more then that.
I went to my local Vzw store tonight...my contact told me they currently have 100 Droids and 75 Eris' in stock, and they are probably going to get more by Friday.
The bigger store in the next town over currently has 600 Droids in stock..
Vzw is not messing around...
