How to add ringtones, alerts (text messages) to my Droid2?

I've searched this topic and could not find how to and where to put the files on my droid.  I've hooked it up to the computer with the USB cable.  It is used as a mass storage device.  Do I just make up any directory to put my music into? Is there a certain order to put the music into the directory... Can playlists be made?   Do I put ringtones in a separate directory?  As you can see, I'm at the basic hand holding stage.

I've heard of some star wars text message alerts.  Can you recommend places to get free alerts, ringtones?

I don't think it matters where you store your music, though I have mine in "my music" on the sdcard, yes, you can make a playlist.

My ringtones are in "my ringtones" and my notification tones are in "media/audio/notifications".

Just search the net for sounds. You can also download an app to make your own tones from your mp3's. Ringdroid is very popular.
