I had the box checked - Add unknown numbers to People after call - in my Phone settings menu. I now have a very long list of numbers ... some not even complete phone numbers ... that appear before my real contact list. I have spent a lot of time trying to get rid of this list and can't find any selection to delete them. Any ideas?
Thanks.

option.

Thanks, mdram4x4, for your reply.
Hello Space.Coast.Carol,
I'd like to provide assistance with the issue you're experiencing but do need further details. Are you referring to the numbers added to your contacts such as #MIN and #DATA where you can check your voice and data usage? Please clarify what the unknown numbers are.

No its not #MIN or #DATA. This is a list of numbers that I have dialed
including many duplicates. They appear as automatically generated contacts
in a list that appears before my regular contacts when I touch Phone at the
bottom of my home page. First in the list is my call history, then this
very long list of generated contacts and then my regular contact list. If I
open one and then click the menu the only options that appear are Link, Send
Contact, save to SIM and Set speed dial. These appear no where else except
on this screen. I went in and unchecked Save to contacts - Add unknown
numbers to People after call - and this appears to have stopped the auto
save but I want to delete this list garbage numbers.
Thanks for your help,
Carol

I appreciate your reply! We can try to clear the cache and/or data of the Phone application and Contact list. Go to Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All. Choose Phone and then choose clear cache and/or data. Repeat the same process with the Contacts application. Please keep me posted on the status.
Thank You,

I cleared the Phone data and there was no change. If I clear the Contact
data will it delete all my contacts? Both the unknown numbers contacts and
my regular contact list?
Carol
