I don't receive any type of voice mail notification.

I can't tell if I have a voice message, home screen does not show anything even tho I have messages when I call my voice mail.

Are you using the basic non-visual voicemail or the Visual Voicemail? On the basic voicemail, did you turn on the notification in the preferences while you are accessing the voicemail system?
