Thank you for the suggestions. Adding to what was stated, perhaps you could set up the email again if needed. I am providing you a link that you can reference our simulators that can walk you through the process. I would recommend getting the needed information as Wildman suggested to make sure all your settings are correctly configured.

Need a lot more details

Have you ever been able to email?

Do you have more than one email on the phone, are they both having problems?

Do you have internet connection on your phone? (open web load up some website like abc.com)

Do you get any errors when you try to send?

Take out the battery and put it back it, software could be causing problems

Most the time this is caused because the outgoing server information is usually configured incorrectly, try checking setting and if problem continue I would suggest you contact your internet service pervider and have them give you the port and server information that should work...

Mine did the same thing -- emails would just sit in the outbox and never send. A battery pull fixed the situation. Hope yours works out that easily!

Oh yeah, I figure out my issue was a issue with Yahoos server for my area, they got it resolved and my issue was resolved...

Anyone else have issues sending emails with attachments? It seems like if I email more than one picture or even a small video it will take a long time to send or wont send at all same result over a strong wifi connectior. Does the x just have issues pushing large files?

Unfortunately, it will only receive and send a certain amount of bytes. Forget long videos and a handful of pictures. Just won't do it.

I had this problem with my first Droid and found after talking with my ISP that I needed to change the outgoing port number instead of the default one.  This solved my problem and it worked when I set up my Droid X so you might try talking to your internet service provider.

I had the same problem with a number of solutions.  Changing the port number, re-entering the outgoing and incoming server etc.  What I couldn't understand is that when I entered the information on the DROID X that I had for my PC e-mail, not only wouldn't the DROID work but my regular PC e-mail was screwed up as well in the same way,,I could send but couldn't receive.  In truth, I have no idea how it fixed itself but after turning it off for a re-charge, when it came back up everything was working fine on both the phone and my regular PC e-mail.  To this day, Verizon (ISP and Phone carrier) and Yahoo have no idea how it was "fixed."

Hi, I hope this helps. I spent hours trying to fix this problem, I went to the Verizon support, you tube, droid sites. and all I had to do was go to my server, (earthlink) I typed in my browser, "I can't send e-mails."  This site popped up, it asked me for my account password, and up came the information I needed for both in and out e-mails.  I just sat there in disbelief.  All this time and nobody could give me the answer, but my serve. Good luck to you!!!!!
