I work in a telesales environment and I can say that any "early deliveries" are not in fact "early". It would make no sense to set expecations that cannot be met when there is a shortage in units. It's like when a restaraunt tells you it will be 1 hour wait and then call your name in 25 min....you feel like you got some amazing service but the hostess and server knew the wait would be much less than quoted.
So, congrats on getting your X "early"! It's much better than getting it late!

which is apparently whats going to happen to me. ( They said when I ordered it that I would get it shipped out by 9/7 and then when I called today because of everyone was giving me hopes of getting it early and they told me it wouldn't ship out till 9/8 now. I'm so disappointed cause I really really wanted this phone. I know it's only 1 day but when I had thoughts of it actually coming early its just making me want the phone so much more now. I hate being so impatient!! lol

Yeah, i saw your thread U started about it. I can also say, that not every rep will provide the correct information every time. @ my company we quote specific ship times but those times are often dependant on the time of day an order is placed. I will say, not to defend Verizon at all, that consumers also place unrealistic exectations on things or have very little patience when something is different than they expected. So for you to have a 1 (one) day delay in the shipping date.....?? I don't know, it could have been worse

The guys at Verizon down my street say they have 4 in stock. I guess most people buy it online instead of walking into a store. If you want it early and don't want to wait you might as well check out the local stores in your area.

I think it's the instant rebates that make buying online so much more appealing. I always disliked the fact that you had to mail in for your rebate and that it took so long to get it back. I for one am happy to wait a couple extra days for a phone if it means paying less upfront.

I was just pointing it out I completely agree with your comment. Some people get all up in arms about having to wait a bit, but if you didn't want to wait the result would be the same regardless if you got it from a store. You'd have to wait for something. Either the device or the rebate.
