It is August 18th and we all know the rumors said we would get Froyo today on our Incredibles. If you receive the HTC Droid Incredible Froyo update, please post here so those of us waiting will know that the update is starting to download. It should be downloading by batches of phones. Once we know it has started, at least we'll all know it's then just going to be a short time until we are in an update batch.
My wife had the update waiting when she checked her phone at 9am this morning, I'm still waiting.
She's got a 917 area code and I'm 646. Her phone's paid by a corporate account while mine is tied to a different larger corporate account, but it is my personal phone that I pay for.
I've got my phone about a month before her and have been a longer VZW customer, so no idea what the distribution order is.
got mine around 12:30am last night, i'm in maryland (240) area code. I'm guessing its just random.
there's no rhyme or reason. it's completely random. a vzn rep "guessed" that updates are done by ESN #....but admitedly, he was guessing.

I'm 248 area code in Michigan. Received it 8:33 this morning (as in, it's rebooting right now). I wonder what all the hub bub about this update is... the performance increase sounds promising, but the additional features don't sound that great. I mean... new widgets, tethering... it's not what I bought my phone for. Sorry all y'all that are going "why did he get the update and I didn't, it's not fair"

Got update 15 min ago 843 area code Charleston SC 9/01/2010 and if you select MPEG 4 video for the camcorder setting you will see the 720p vide res. Option ..Have not had time to really test any thing out .
But to those still waiting you don't have to keep going to check for updates, when I turned my phone on it said a system update was ready ..So your phone will tell you.
i gotta ask a really dumb question every one who got the update whate does yourr boot loader say on the screen does it say verizion or drooid i got the ota and mine didnt say verizion any more some one let me know ?????
the verizon splash screen is gone with the update. now you get a "droid" screen followed by a "google" screen. got my ota last night (8/31) at 10 pm pacific time. in phoenix (but fyi....location doesn't matter....it's totally random).
ok i looked in the market for the flash and cant find it nowhere somebody help
you already have it if you got the update. go to settings->applications->manage apps->touch the "all" tab on top of screen->long press adobe flash......does it say version 10.1.72.7???? if so, then you're runnin flash 10.1!!!!!
oh so it dont runn off any web browser or something cause i use opera and it seems not to work on there thats why i was like wth!!!!!
don't know about opera? i know a lot of people are saying it is running fine on certain sites, but not running properly (or at all) on other sites????
Got the update but now my phone wont play wav files. I have Vonage and I kind of like the ability to hear my messages on my phone. Before the update I was able to play messages in .wav format. Any one else having this issue?

Received at 9 a.m. just as I was pulling out of driveway to head to work.
Haven't had time to check it out (other than the screen rotation aspects).
Was a little miffed that it insisted on resetting many of my syncronization settings. Also alarmed about the fact that while I have the device plugged in, it is LOSING POWER on the battery. What the heck is up with that?
