In Call Volume

I looked through the posts and while a lot talked about volume for ringers, alarms, etc. I need to figure out if I can raise the volume for incoming calls.  My husband doesn't hear well and when he answers my phone it's impossible for him to hear the person on the other end.  Can anyone tell me if it's possible to make this louder?

While on call just press the up volume key to your satisfaction..

I guess I'm not sure what the volume key is.  I know what the ringer volume is.  Downloaded an app that you can do all the volume controls so perhaps this will work as well.  Thanks
