I have a Droid X2 and when I play music through the in phone player and select to repeat one song, the player stops working after the song has finished playing, thus not playing again. This is consistent no matter the song or artist, but repeat all works fine without problems.
Also, just as a nice player feature, could there be a crossfade option and be able to adjust the duration of said crossfade? It would be nice if there wasn't a break between songs unless the artist intended for there to be one.
Thanks!
Update to the problem:
Tinkering with the music player a bit, the stopping problem only occurs if I move from one song into another with repeat all on, but then if I change it to repeat one mid way through the song, the player stops. However, if I pause the music, select repeat one, and then begin playing the song from the beginning, the repeat works fine.
And again a crossfade feature would be awesome!
Thanks.
It sounds like you are using the built in music player. It is very limited in the functionality, maybe try another app out of the Market that will give you those functions?
Correct that I am using the built in music player. However, the functionality of its simplified, non-streaming form helps me to greatly conserve battery life. The main reason I pointed out the problem was to hopefully have an update fix the repeat one issue, not address the crossfade feature I've been mentioning. The crossfade ability would be an awesome bonus, but is not my main point. I have other apps, SlackerRadio for example, but can only listen to them for a couple hours before my battery dies. So I switched to putting the music on my phone and playing it through the provided player.
@segeorg3 - I know how tough it can be to find an app that does everything you are looking for! It is possible that Motorola may release a fix for some of those quirks and bugs. Like Droid Usrr suggested though, there are a large number of apps out there that do what you are looking for in a great manner, without streaming your music. A lot of them also have a crossfade feature as well! DM me if you like, we can go over a few if needed!
Thank you both!
