I just migrated to the Inc2 from a BBY. I've set up a MS Exchange account. It is syncing mail, contacts, calendar but doesn't have much of the functionality of the BBY. Here are the issues:
1. It appears the installed SW will not sync outlook notes or tasks with the Exchange server.
2. My hierarchical mail folders display as a long list. I had Saved Mail > Folder 1 > Sub Folder 1... Now Saved mail is not displayed on the Inc2 (along with the unfiled email inside) and and Folder 1 and Subfolder 1... are in the long list.
VZW tech support suggested a 3rd party ap like Touchdown or Exchange for Android. Has anyone evaluated the available 3rd party solutions and determined which is best to get Outlook like functionality?
Do these 3rd party aps work with the device functions such as phone, voice dial, etc?
Should I remove the Exchange account from the system SW and only set it up on the 3rd party ap or leave it set up on both?
Any other advice?
I also set up a Yahoo mail account. On the BBY I had a choice of deleting on server or handheld only. On the Inc 2 installed SW I can only delete everywhere. Most problematic if I move an email into a folder in Yahoo ie Saved Mail and subsequently delete it on the Inc2 it is deleted in Yahoo.
Should I set up the Yahoo account on the same 3rd party ap as the Exchange account (above) or a separate ap and if so which one is best.
I like the Inc 2 screen, browser, map, etc SOOO much more than the BBY, but need a robust Mobile Outlook / Exchange solution and don't want to ho back to the BBY. I appreciate any advice others can offer.
