Incredible 2 phone deleting pic's

I have only had this phone for 3 days and it is great so far but I take pictures or video with it and it puts them in the gallery icon and twice I have gone to look at them or show someone and they all have been deleted or gone. Any clues on how to fix it.

After consulting with HTC they recommend clear data under menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all> camera and if the issue reoccurs formatting the memory card.
