Incredible's Battery Concern

I currently own a Blackberry Storm 9530 (1st one) that the specifications says 360hrs standby time.

Now in reality once I measured the actual standby time; 10hrs=10% drain so really 100hrs

HTCs Incredible's battery specifications for standby time says 146hrs, if I use it like I currently use my Blackberry I'm concerned the battery is gonna die on me every single day.

I constantly use my Blackberry to check Twitter; send SMS texts, search the web, look at my weather, check my bible's daily scripture.......I'm constantly fiddling with it.  True every other day I'm almost having to recharge it; by that I mean by the 3rd day after a full charge I'm probably sitting at 40% left.

So I'm wondering how this Incredible's battery is gonna live. Maybe it will surpass the Storm, maybe not.  So I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this issue.  Thanks

The reviews I've read say that it's "decent, but nothing that will get you excited". No hard numbers, but you have to realize that they probably only had a couple days with it to put it through its paces and that would make it tough to give an accurate depiction of real-world battery life. I know that most Android devices out there don't get stellar battery life. I use my phone a lot, though rarely for voice, and I pop it on the charger nightly. Compared to other devices I've owned, I'd say its the shortest battery life of the bunch; and I've seriously owned a LOT of different mobile devices from every manufacturer running every OS available (except Symbian). At any rate, I don't expect the Incredible to wow me with it's amazing battery life. From what I've read, I can imagine myself putting it on the charger mid-day. :smileywink: I hope I'm wrong, but for those of us who are constant phone-fidgeters, I think it may be a reality with this one, we'll see on Friday.

I purchased an aftermarket Seidio battery for my Eris and it has been the best thing for my phone!

Easily 1.5 times the battery life if not double.

I end almost every day with 50% battery and I use it quite a bit.

So, you will probably be seeing aftermarket batteries for the Incredible shortly after release.

The battery I got is 1750 mAH, compared to the Eirs' stock 1300 mAH battery.

Just something to look into.

You'll have to charge it every night I'm sure. I'm left with about 30-40% on my Eris with moderate use. The incredible, I'm fairly sure, has the same size battery but is more powerful.

If you like the incredible, but concerned about battery life... you may want to look into a 1750 battery. The Eris 1750 was the same size so I'm sure the Incredible one will be similar too. Going higher then 1750, from what I've seen, usually requires an aftermarket battery cover that supports the larger battery.

I suppose its too early to tell which batteries can be compatible with the Incredible huh? I presume that April 29th is the Official Launch date? HTCs website has nothing on the Incredible; not even to compare it to other HTC phones; and their support forums has nothing on the Incredible just yet.

Also here at Verizons website there are no listed batteries to buy for this product; so again I guess its too soon to argue/ask about what to do with the battery; honestly I just need to wait a few more days; April 29th LOL
