I can't install any apps. I keep getting the Error Code: Unknown Reason-110. I have restarted the phone. I have tried to switch settings around. But nothing seems to do it. Thank you for the help in advance.

First try clearing the data for the Market app.

Go to settings > applications > manage applications > all tab > scroll down to the Market app. Select it and press the clear cache and data buttons. Then force close the app.

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the updates to the Market app.

Go to settings > applications > manage applications > all tab > scroll down to the Market app. Select it and press the clear cache and data buttons. Then press the uninstall updates button and then force close the app.

Reopen the Market app and accept the terms of service. Try and download an application.

Thank you to Ann154 for the reply.

JonelleD are you still experiencing  the issue with not being able to download applications? Did this start after you downloaded a particular application? I will be glad to help. If it is happening on all applications. Please back up your device and hard reset the device. Please click here to see the hard reset instructions.

Thank you

Vichet_99,

Let's try a few other steps to see if we can get your Market working. In addition to clearing cache from the Market, also try clearing it from the Download Manager. Try the Market again.

Make sure your Background Data and Autosync are checked in Settings>Accounts & Sync.

Another thing I have seen affect some phones ability to download, is an issue with the SD card. Try going to Settings>SD & Phone Storage and unmounting the SD card. If it works with the SD card unmounted, I suggest deleting the file called android_secure from the SD card. You can find files on the SD card by connecting to your computer or using a file program like Astro File Manager.

Please let us know if still having issues.

I have an HTC Dinc2 and am having the same problem.  I cannot install anything, app or update, from either the Market or from Amazon App Store.  This is very disappointing.  I have tried clearing the cache and data and hitting force stop on both of the markets and on the download manager.  I did restarts afterward.  From what I can tell from other sites, it looks like the only solution might be a factory reset, which is very inconvenient.
