Internet connectivity... Or lack thereof

Is anyone else having problems connecting to the internet using 3g?  I can connect to wifi and it will work just fine.  I have tried pulling the battery, a *228 update, checking my network setting and everything else anyone has suggested.  I saw on another thread that people in the northeast are having these issues...  What's the deal?

You know, after typing out all of what I've been dealing with, and then reading your post.  A lack of connectivity would explain the issues I'm having.  Have you been experiencing this lack of connection for the past 3-5 days?
