Is Verizon failing to credit anyone else for returning their non-functioning Bionic?

I bought a Bionic online in September.  Within 3 days of the 14 day return period, I took it to the Verizon store (official store) and they performed a master reset.  My phone was NOT staying connected to the 3g network without having to restart or go in and out of airplane mode.   This did not fix the issue.  I took the phone back, they replaced the sim card.  This did NOT fix the issue.   They sent me a reconditioned Bionic (I returned the original Bionic at this point to Verizon).  This Bionic had the exact same issue.  At this point, 4G was available and the phone would NOT connect to 4G unless I manually went into 'CDMA only' and then changed roaming to 'HOME ONLY'.  I would then have to go back to CDMA/LTE for 4G to connect.  When on 4G, I could NOT send or receive phone calls.   Verizon sent me another phone.  This phone,  had the IDEN sticker on the back so off center it was bunched up into the corner of the battery compartment.  I couldn't even get the battery into it.   I returned ALL of the Bionics after speaking with an account retention specialist who said I would be credited and ordered me the RAZR.   The RAZR never arrived at my house because "We are sorry sir, your order was on of thousands on the pre-order system that were accidentally lost when moved to the regular order system as they shipped normally on the day they were released".  This representative then contacted my local Verizon store, told them to expect me to pick up a RAZR, set up a return mailer for the Bionic, assured me I would receive full credit for the Bionic, (even though it was past the 14 day return period, but because of the issues I had with the phone and had in fact, gone to the store to return it within the 14 days and was advised they had a list of items to do before ruling it out needing be returned.).  At the store I had to pay for the RAZR, which I was told by the phone rep. as my account already had a $250 dollar charge on it for the Bionic.

I paid for the RAZR, have returned all of the BIONICS and have spent almost $500.00 and I have one phone (RAZR) and no credit to my account.

I have been calling Verizon on a weekly basis and each time getting told it is being looked into.  "We have not received the phone" - I have my FedEx delivery confirmation for each Bionic.    "Oh, it takes ten days to process it into the warehouse"   and "we have follow up calls scheduled on the 31st" - No call from Verizon, not 'processed into warehouse' and no credit for a returned phone that never worked as a phone in 4G and couldn't stay connected to 3G even if it were super glued.

What can I do?

Thanks!

LOL...soooooooo typical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The exact same thing happened to me after my 8th Samsung Charge they shoved me in a Bionic and charged me the $500 fee for not returning the Charge.

I had tracking confirmed delivery and everything like yourself showing it sitting in the warehouse but they charged me anyway.  I had my uncle write a letter from his law firm and MIRACULOUSLY the phone was processed and refund issued.

Verizon is a joke

After having a lawyer friend threaten legal action Verizon relented and credited my account.

Had this problem twice, with two different phones. One was a Blackberry back when and the other was a Thunderbolt. I threatened legal action and it was fixed both times. Verizon is full of jerks sometimes. Why can't we just drop them off instore and have it credited instantly?

YES!!! Long story short I was in phone with Verizon CS then Tech Support!! 2 phones returned to Verizon & after about 3 hours of research I was reassured all was taken care of. It has been a NIGHTMARE that will not end. I just got a bill for OVER $800!!! It would take an hour to type all details!!! Bottom line is 2 phones were returned Nov 2011 that have never had a value even close to $800!!! Months later I have a balance that is NOT RIGHT & multiple Verizon reps have put me thru he!*computer & back! ! I have contacted an attorney & regardless of outcome I have a bad balance mark on my account that is WRONG!!!

have NO value anywhere near $800

I am 100% with the return to store comment. I have NEVER EVER had this SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE (a few AWESOME such as Tanner Brent & Jordan) as Verizon has put me thru for returned phones. Get this Verizon informed me that boxes sent to warehouse such as a Third Party for returns are all dumped in together & there are scanning issues. Get this....really??? What company would admit that & do NOTHING about the process!!! Oh I am livid & I am going to ask for my termination fees in my lawsuit if it is not cleared up ASAP!!! Oh called tonite for termination prorate & it WAS WRONG!! Oh they can beg you to sign a contract early but try & terminate early....get ripped off!! Just got noticed can upgrade several months out yet my early termination fees prorated are MORE than correct calculations. Yep 5 lines AT&T would LOVE to service & have!!
