I saw the following posted over at the DROIDX forum as a fix for low earpiece volume on the DROID. Has anyone done this or know of its validity?
"That's an easy fix... ##PROGRAM from your dialer, then enter the password 000000 and go to option 04 Vocoder and change it from EVRC to EVRC-B."

This is just changing your voice codec to the newer -B option. It does indeed improve voice quality coming over the handset and thus better volume.

I've had a problem with the other person's voice being very briefly muted on a call if I say something (e.g. "uh huh, etc.) or if I clear my throat or something. Will the above possibly fix that?
