Hold on tight it'll come i got mine accouple days ago. An when it Does some things to remember before you except
it.
Do this:
- Make sure you run the battery down an then Recharge it fully before doing the update.
- Its a good idea to be close to the Tower so you can get the best signal while doing the update process
- let the update go fully thru its steps it will take from 20 to 30 min. an no incoming or outgoing calls can be made an at the end of the update for about 2 to 3 min. it will look like its doing nothing but it is just leave it alone an finally it will be done an will be then at the home screen.
- i would then shut it off wait about 5 min an then turn it back on. the boot up process will be alittle faster.
And my final suggestion is enjoy your new Incredble thats what i call mine. B33

I was looking through some tweets and someone asked when would they recieve the update. The response was it takes 7-14 days for the update to reach everyone.

Have you tried manually pulling it over the air? Settings>System Updates? Still not there?

I'm still on Android 2.2 and manually checking for update says "Your system is up to date".

Pressing the Check for Updates button is more likely to have ponies, unicorns and rainbows shoot out of your phone, as it is to actually make the update happen.
It'll be updated when Verizon Update Gods deem you are ready for the update. Word is it'll take 7 - 14 days to get it out.
Still waiting here too.. the unicorns are fun though...

Well i got the update but no ponies ,unicorns , rainbows eitherbut it does have a tad bit faster boot uptime an the gremlin that plauged the moto's when you'd shut it off. The Inc. as well come back on by itself.
But the other goodies that came with it. you'll just have to see when you get updated. An be aware you might have to do a FR before or after installing the new update to help combat issues. if there's any present in your phone. B33

I too have not received an update. Update screen still shows that the system is up to date. I am in the SOCAL area and a coworker of mine received the update a week ago............

I'm sure they put it on hold. Screwed up SMS receiving for people like me. Be thankful you didn't get it.

No update here this morning. And if they did pull the update, it would be really nice if they mentioned it. They sure were quick to post that their original release date was going to be put on hold... They probably don't want to mention it because some of the problems (phone thinking it was a Spring Evo, showing Spring market items) were very embarressingly simple things that could have been fixed when they delayed the update original release for "more testing". Good job - they need to fire their QA department!

Be happy if you haven't received Gingerbread. Wish I hadn't, and there's no going back to Froyo where everything actually worked. I am envious of all of you who haven't received it.

I still want it, and I haven't gotten it yet. Some peole had problems when Froyo came out too, some didn't. Some people are reporting problems with Gingerbread, some aren't. A few of the problems are easily resolved from what people reported. I haven't heard any any reports where there were problems that a factory reset, or a memory card unmount didn't fix besides the Sprint thing in the Market which HTC is working on.

Right. Good luck with that. Be careful what you wish for...
