Keep losing 'silent mode' in settings

I want my Droid to only vibrate for incoming text msgs, voice calls, notifications, etc, etc.  Since I'm hard of hearing, I don't want any sound.  So, I set the settings/sound/silent mode 'on' and settings/vibrate to 'always'.  For messaging, I have vibrate on and ringtone to silent.

Somehow, the settings/sound/silent mode keeps getting turned off.  I suspect it's happening when I get a text message.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks,

hey augiedog, i am curious to know if you are seeing this occur when it is close to 20% battery going to power save mode??   My notification settings get changed at this point and dont return back to settings i had prior to battery save mode. and i wasnt aware this happening.

Thanks for the setup steps.  I have all the settings as recommended.

I dunno about the 20% level question....maybe....but, I'm thinking not.  It doesn't happen often, so I can't seem to pin it to anything specific.  It could be when Bluetooth is turned on or off.....or maybe when an app is run....not sure.

Thanks for the input.
