Has anyone else had a problem where they go to bed with the phone anywhere from 70-90% charged and yet after waking up 8 hours later there abut 10%? This has happened to me twice within the last week now. Around midnight I had a 70% charge. This morning around 7 it was 5%. I even sleep with my phone on airplane mode so that it does NOT waste battery.

This is the battery use from the night. The second valley is where the battery drained while I was sleeping until it was plugged in again.

Is there an application that is keeping the phone awake during that time?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Try this...Put your phone in Airplane Mode for one night to see if the phone is draining the battery by continually trying to find a weak phone signal.

Ann154,
I do not think so. I haven't downloaded anything new within a few weeks of this happening and it randomly happened only twice.
Jerry,
I sleep with my phone on airplane mode every night. This happened with the phone in airplane mode.

based upon the screenshot, I would think the primary suspect is the phone signal. could be the radio in the phone is not functioning properly (could also be a bad signal in your area too).
it seems that while the phone is in deep sleep mode, it's actually draining. an app called CPUSpy could tell you more specifically.
another suspect could be an app. has this always happened? if not, then think of when it first started happening, and what are your most recent app installs.
otherwise, I would certainly take the phone in to a VZW store and have them make sure that your radio signals and kernels are up to date.

I wonder if your problem was ever solved, and how it was solved. I'm having the same identical problem with my Droid Charge. I even obtained a replacement phone from Verizon that's doing the very same thing. It's really a pain and very much a mystery as to what's causing the problem.
Any help ?
Thanks,

None of the comments above applied to me because I did not have any new apps and as I originally said, I left the phone in airplane mode so that it would not search for a signal. This hasn't happened again to me though thankfully. Just those two randoms time.
