Help! Yesterday all my phone numbers disappeared from my contacts. All their names and email addresses show up, but the phone numbers aren't there. In my call history and text history just the phone numbers show up, with no name attached. I have tried restarting the phone several times and they haven't shown back up.

Hi bigjeff80,
I am sorry to learn that your contacts phone numbers have disappeared. Did this happen after installing a third party application? If so, uninstall application and power phone off/on. If application was conflicting with phone the issue will be resolved. Try running your phone in Safe Mode. Safe Mode temporarily disables all applications that have been installed via the Android Market. Performing this troubleshooting step is necessary to determine whether a 3rd party application is the cause of an Operating System / Application issue.
Also check your Gmail account. Are your contacts showing your phone numbers online when you access your Gmail account on a computer? Keep in mind that your contacts are synchronized with Gmail and if numbers have been erased in Gmail then your contacts will update on your phone (without numbers).
I understand you have powered phone off/on several times. Have you done a soft reset? If not, please try it, remove battery with phone ON and re-insert after 20 seconds.

I have a smilar problem. I was having problems with running out of memory for my apps, and someone suggested that the culprit was syncing my Facebook contacts. So I de-linked the Facebook contact sync, and that did indeed address the memory problem, but it also had the side effect of deleting many of my phone contacts. They are also wiped out on my Backup Assistant, and they are no longer synched in my Google contacts.
Do you have any advice for me? I have lost many numbers, and I fear there may be no way for me to get them back.

Hello sconnersmith,
I do understand the fear of possible loosing your contacts. I know you stated the contacts are not on Backup Assistance or synced with Google, however, I do want to clarify that you have checked the online accounts for both. If you have not please log in to your My Verizon site here and your Google account here. If you have checked online and the contacts are in neither of the online account and you did not save the contacts to the memory card at anytime that does mean all the programs to get them back are depleted. You can take a look at your call log history via My Verizon and pin point some numbers to re-add to your contacts. I hope some of this information helps. Thank you.
