I had a recent problem with getting two notifications http://community.vzw.com/t5/DROID-Incredible-2-by-HTC/Two-email-notifications/td-p/628476 . After going into the "Accounys and Sync" i changed it to i wouldnt get notifications from my gmail. Now it seems that it has erased my contacts and wont sync them up again. I checked on the gmail website and my contacts are still there, so its something with the phone. I then removed and readded my gmail account hoping that would fix thing but still no contacts.

Im confused of how you removed the gmail account and added it back because usually once its added a hard reset is the only way to remove it, care to share how you did it?

Under the "Accounts & Sync" in settings, where you have all of your Facebook Weather and whatnot synced. There is the Gmail one too. If you try to Add Account you see a Gmail option as well. I just went in where you can change your sync options and on the bottom there was the remove account option.

I would be glad to look into this issue with your contacts. Did you have more than one gmail account on the device? Since you have already checked gmail online and seen your contacts, Please hard reset the incredible and reload your gmail onto the device and it will reload your contacts back on the device. You may have to redownload some applications back to your device.
Thank you
