Mine downloaded and installed fine... Are you downloading on 3g or wifi because its a big download. I did it on 3g when I tested it but I wasnt impressed so I uninstalled.

That is a strange one, have you tried restarting before attempting download to make sure that a app isnt blocking it, also are you running any virus scan, try disabling it and see if this helps.

Apparently it is a joke. My download never gets past 0%, then fails after about 10 minutes. Doesn't matter if I'm on wi-fi or 3G. I tried restarts, closing all of the non-critical processes on the phone, etc., but to no avail. My brother-in-law also has an X and has the same problem, and he has a friend at work who also can't download it. Big fail Verizon/EA. I actually want to play this game, but I'm not going to waste any more of my time trying to figure it out.

As wilman said i got Madden to work on my X. I Played a full season went 16-0 an played the superbowl at Dallas. as wildman suggested I would remove one app at time to see if its Conflicting with Madden U can also do a Batt Pull or even do reset *228
option 1 to reset the Phone its ok to do a reset. as i have done this an ur not going to loose anthing by doing this. I will tell u this before an after i payed for the app at times when i would start it. It can hang if it does just simply back out of the App an try again if it
still acks stubbern then power the X off an let it sit for accouple of min. then repower it up try it again. if U still then cant get it to go Call Tech an tell them what its doing See if they can trouble shoot it with you. And you may have to do a System reset to clear
some things to get it Going. Good Luck and Dont Give Up. You'll Get it Going.

I have NO need for Madden 11 or, Blockbuster, or any of the other Verizon bloatware. I realize you can remove it from the home screen, but it still takes up memory and you can't move it to the SD card. When will manufacturer's stop preinstalling this crap to our phones? They are OUR phones, we pay for them and they should be set up the way we want them......what a novel premise. Imagine a smartphone that you could program the software you wanted and no crap. I guess Android is the closest thing we have to that, at least there isn't an excessive amount of Verizon bloatware on the Android OS phones.

*standard replies to bloatware complaints*
1. If you don't like to see the bloatware on your screen, dump it to your app tray
2. If you don't like to see the bloatware in your app tray, there are apps that will hide the icons...they're free...use them.
3. If you're worried about the loss of memory...don't...most of them take up very little memory.
4. If you're still not satisfied, root your phone, void the warranty, and take your chances
5. If you STILL aren't happy....either give up on smartphones in general, or get used to it.
6. All smartphones have bloatware.
7. All carriers install bloatware.
8. Yes it's YOUR phone, but you're using it on THEIR network.
9. YOU can say whatever you want in a call on your phone, or in messages even...THEY can install whatever bloatware they want before you buy the phone from THEM.
As for the Madden app, I downloaded it, realized I need to use wifi for the best performance, further realized I never liked sports video games, and thus ignored it. As of now, I still love my phone, the sun came up the next morning, and I didn't even have any static cling in my laundry. Life goes on, and there are more important issues to be upset over.
Thank you for your attention.
