I was wondering why my DROID was on the home screen every time I pulled it from its case. Yes, the magnetic pouch Verizon is selling for the DROID will bring your DROID out of sleep, which means the display will suck your battery dry in a few hours. There are magnetic sensors in the DROID it uses for the docking stations. Just run the back of the smart phone across the pouch's magnets and will come alive and in some cases start up apps. This is a case of poor communication among product managers at Verizon and Motorola. I'm taking my case back for the velcro one.
