The Incredible can easily add another language input and one can do the same for iPhone for example and send messages in different language. I can send a chinese message to my own incredible no problem. I can also send a message from the iPhone (AT&T) to the same phone no problem. I cannot however send message in chinese from one to the other either way! I can send english both ways but neither in Chinese. What is the problem???

Verizon Wireless offers Asian language Support on select 3G Smartphones (BlackBerry® and Android®). The languages supported include Chinese and Korean.
Enhanced TXT Messages sent to an SMS only handset that only supports SMS does not include any embedded sounds or graphics (or other Enhanced TXT Messaging features listed in the features section above, such as text formatting, foreign language characters, etc.).
When the message is converted the foreign language is removed.

Does it mean that I cannot send or receive Korean text messages?
I just got my first smart phone, and had been exited because I thought to be able to send and receive Korean text message from my friends.
But, I just realized that I cannot receive or send Korean text message. I have met some of my friends yesterday and tried to send or receive Korean text messages. However, Korean text messages cannot be delivered at all. Worst thing is that my friends with at&t or t-mobile are able to use Korean for text messaging without any problem.
Is this my own problem or is there anyway I can fix this?

Download on Android devices1. Launch Market.2. Search for preferred language (e.g., Cantonese Keyboard).3. Select and install corresponding application.4. Go to Settings.5. Select Language or Locale & Text (varies depending on Android device).6. Under Text Settings, check language.7. Once you begin texting, keep input area pressed and an Input Method option will come up.8. Select the language.

Because the enhanced messages would be converted to regular text messages when sent to or received from another carrier the foreign language characters would be removed. This would be a restriction of the network and not an issue you could fix on the device.
Messages with graphics, tones, or special formatting (regardless of message length), will be delivered to other carriers as plain text with the special characters removed. If the message is all special characters, the message would not be sent or received.
