Mini USB Jack

I have the original droid with the protection insurance on my account.  My mini usb jack has always had some wiggle but hasn't stopped receiving power, this week it has been giving me problems.  How easy will it be for the store staff to replace my droid?

They will just send you out a replacement and have you return the damage device...  You can do this without going to store just give CS a call.

I had same issue with my Droid X but it ended up being the charger cable not phone port..

Have you tried another charger? Generally it is the male connector that goes bad before the female side on the phone. That was one reason for the switch from microusb to miniusb.

It is the female connector that has gotten loose.  So I need to position the male connector on my car charger and miniusb cable in such a way that it will charge it and also make sure that it doesn't reboot the device.

I wanted to go to the store so they could copy everything over so I don't have to spend a day installing everything over again and resetting all of my different settings.

Isn't the other way around? Most if not all phones (except Apple) use just the microUSB port for the charger port.

I think even it is a requirement in the European region for all phones to be equipped with a MicroUSB charger port.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
