I tried to recreate your situation and was not able to, exactly.  However, I noticed that when I set a single alarm, it would set up for the next week on the same day.  However, if I changed the setting of the alarm to daily, it would show the alarm as set for the right time the next day.

These alarms were preset and I was simply turning them back on after taking a few days off. If I create a new alarm then the calculation is correct.

So, I am missing the point. Is this really significant?

The point is it was 12:04am I turned on my alarm to wake me up in about 6 hours so I can be up for work and my Charge is telling me it will wake me in 6 -17 days. Do you see something like that and just simply pass it off and go to bed? I didn't so instead of going to bed I checked my alarm settings ( which were correct ) then fiddled with my alarms to see why it might calculate 6-17 day out then after I felt confident it was just a glitch with the calculation for the message I could finally rest. I would say it is significant, Samsung took the time to program this message into the device why wouldn't they do it right?

OK. So I saw the same problem with the alarm if set for a single day of the week. It seems like, once it goes past the time, it will set the alarm to go off the same day of the following week. If you set to a daily alarm, though, it appears to work correctly and not to "skip ahead" several days.

Does this help at all??

I was able to reproduce the same issue on the Droid Charge

I have found that when I am entering the info for the alarm, I have to click on the "repeat" link, and reclick on the "once only" line, and then click save.  That always ensures that it is set to go off the following morning (or sooner, such as if you have a time set for later that day). I have found if I dont go back in and reclick on the "repeat" link, the alarm wont go off until it is the same day as the last time I set the alarm.

I can't imagine that anyone should have to go through so many steps just to create an alarm.

I will see if I can lift this up to Samsung.

Thanks I will give this a try.

I also have this issue.

If I try to just re-enable a previously configured alarm it will do it for the following day instead of the mere hours away.

example... its 11:30pm.. I already have a configured alarm for 5:05am .. if I click it to just turn it on it doesn't say this alarm will go off in 5 hrs and 35 minutes.. it tells me its over a day or more away.

My way around this is to go into the settings of the alarm and then without even making changes, save it and then it shows as being only mere hours away.

Thanks for the responses but I'd like to point out that this is still an issue. I did the proposed fix by TamaraH and still have the same issue. Yes I can go in to each alarm that is preset and resave it ensure that it will go off but this is not how it was designed to work. Simply turning off and on alarms from the alarm menu should be all that's required. Also I have found lately that on alarms that I have set to go off 4 days a week sometimes will lose days so the next time I check it there are maybe only a couple days it is showing as set to go off.
