Does the Mobile Hotspot feature draw from the monthly call minutees or from the data plan if I use this feature?
Also, does the Droid X allow direct wired internet access via a USB cable to a laptop? I was in a meeting yesterday where someone plugged their Blackberry in to their laptop to get internet access. Will the Droid X do this too by using the USB cable?
Thanks in advance

the mobile hot spot or tethering is an optional plan offered by verizon. I believe it`s an additional $20.00 a month and can allow up to 5 wifi enabled devices to access the 3g service from your phone. I honestly cant say anything about the usb question you asked. The hot spot feature doesn`t go against your minutes and is independent of your data plan.

It doesn't count against your minutes but the plan only gives you 2 gig of data limit to use with the data plan offered. Also the teather feature only allows for wireless connection and does not work through the usb for internet access.
