I contacted Verizon and finally got through to level 2 tech support. The only suggestions they had were what I had already tried from reading these forums. So their solution was to replace with a reman handset. Fortunately, I bought an third party extended warranty that replaces with new. So, I am trying to get everything together to file that claim. It will have to wait until I get home to find my original paperwork. Thank You for your help. I will update when I get new information.
