Alright, for the sixth time now all of my text messages have just simply disappeared. I wouldn't have too much of a problem with it except locked messages are deleted as well. I'll unlock the phone to check a text message I received and then all of the messages/conversations are gone from my phone except for the new text message. It's not because I have the auto-delete messages when the inbox is full setting on. Unless it is "buggy", it's not intended to wipe everything from the phone. It's not a memory issue, and each time I've talked to the Verizon people they've told me it has to be user error.

This same thing has happened to me twice now! I have important texts that I save and sometimes send myself text messages as reminders for things. Also has deleted photos people have sent me that haven't yet been saved to my SD card. This is definitely a major problem! Has anybody else experienced this and/or received any answers from Verizon about it??

Same issue for me! It'll happen randomly, just delete texts. My phone did it at least a half dozen times as well as it would either fail to deliver a message but tell me it sent successfully or vice versa. Took it to the verizon store, they suggested wiping the phone and going back from a factory setting. I've had my phone STOCK for two days and it's already deleted my texts on a whim. I have the "auto delete messages" disabled and before I disabled it I still put the "max number of messages/multimedia messages" limit to 999 as well.
I'm getting so absolutely frustrated with this that I'm already sick of this phone and I refuse to purchase or download an application for something that Motorola/Verizon should have had working correctly long ago. Stop making software updates to make things look cute and pretty and neat. Fix the broken code NOW and leave the glitter for later please.

Hey Komical, I would like to recommend using a SMS Messaging Back up application until a fix is released or you can try a factory reset to repair any corruptions in the database. Make sure you do a backup on the entire phone before doing a factory reset.
