I occasionally have this same issue....when it happens I power off my droid and then turn it back on and it resets itself on all of my email accounts.

Hello, I have three pop3 email accounts setup on my droid aside from my gmail. I use the regular email function on the droid for those 3 pop accounts. Recently, they stopped syncing email on their own and need to be manually refreshed even though they are all set to receive automatically. Its like the email app isn't polling the pop servers. I have even set each account to grab mail at a different time interval to see if it would make a difference and it does not. What happened? It worked previously and now suddenly does not. I was going to hold out to see if Froyo fixed the issue, but because no one knows now when that will happen, I thought I'd ask and see if anyone knew the solution.

I had same problem plus it kept downloading emails I already deleted. I gave up so I decided to forward my verizon email to my new gmail address and it is very easy to handle. You just go on to your gmail account on your computer to delete and move and it is pretty simple. I hate that I have to do that but when I called verizon they were clueless as to what I was talking about.
