Move Ecel attachment to folder on Droid X

I would like to move an excel attachment from my e-mail on my droid X into a folder which can be read by my computer.

I could do this with photos.   What would I need to do to move the e-mail attachment.

Thank You.

If you have the attachment in gmail, you can open gmail on your computer, and download it to your computer without doing anything with the phone.

if the spreadsheet is in a different email account, you can forward the email to your gmail account and then open gmail on your computer.

To download from gmail to a folder on your Droid X, open up the email that contains the attachment. You will see either a preview button, or a download button, or both (depending on which QuickOffice version you have installed). If you press the preview button, it will open up the QuickOffice app to open the spreadsheet. Press the menu hard key(far left button), then press the button that looks like a circle with an down arrow in it (I beleive it is called more). There you have a save as command which will allow you to choose which folder to save to your X. All the folders that you see will be on the SD card which your computer can read when you have the phone hooked up to the computer in USV storage mode.

Hi G70115,

You could connect your USB cable to the Droid X and use the setting mount the device for accessing it on your computer. Once you see the file you could try click the file drag the attached file to a desired folder. You could also try emailing the attachment to a different email address to then be accessed on your computer.

There's a free app in the Android Market called Download All Files.  Works very well.  Should be just what you're looking for.
