The built in music player on the phone at random times will turn itself on which started yesterday. I will go into it and there is no stop button, just a pause. I will pause it long enough to go into settings to force close it, but a few seconds later it will come back on again. It has done it during calls, texts, or even when I am not doing anything on the phone....and is driving me crazy.
I have tried powering on and off the phone, and have taken the battery out 2 or 3 times - nothing is helping. Any suggestions before I call Tech Support later?

strange ... hmm.. Is it the same SONG that plays each time or is it random music? If the same song, maybe DELETE that MP3 form your phone and see if it goes away.. Also you might try going into Settngs / Applications and scroll down to the Music APP and select it - then press CLEAR CACHE / DATA ....
Maybe check any APPS that you recently installed and Uninstall them?

I want to thank Cody21for providing some great suggestions. I also have the Droid X phone and have experienced music playing on its own. What I discovered is that because this is a touch screen phone I have to make sure I lock my screen to prevent the accidental pushing of buttons. Even if the phone is in your hand you can still accidentally select applications.
