My Droid broke in two pieces, I don't have insurance on it.
What will Verizon do for me?

Simple answer: nada, nothing, no way. I'm sure you were offered the insurance option as I was, at $7.99 per month which seems a little excesive until something breaks or you drop your Droid down the toilet. Unless you can prove to Verizon ( at your own expense) that the phone was somehow defective, you have no choice but to buy a new one at retail price. It's like every other insurance -- no value seen until you need it and then it's too late if you don't have it.

They will offer to sell you a replacement phone. Seriously though, what are your expectations here? A phone breaking into two pieces is physical damage anyway you look at it. If you wrecked your car would you take it back to the dealership and ask for them to replace it with a new one?
This is what insurance is for.
