I've tried all the helps I can find. Half my friends won't pick up a call unless they can see who's calling. I found some codes for individual calls but that's just silly. There must be a way to turn this thing off.

How long have you had this number?  If it's a new number it may still be under an "unlisted" option.  If it's a number you have had for a while you could call CS and ask them if there is anything that would cause your number to show up as "private"

I've had this number forever. I had it transferred over to the X. First time I've seen this phenom. I'm thinking a trip to my helpful store guys is in order.

I'd be willing to bet that it has something to do with some coding on your account itself, unless there is a: display number as private option somewhere on your phone.

I can't get into my account right now but I think you can activate - deactivate this online.

I know you solved this but if you go into your account online and go to features you can block-nublock cid

Problem solved. For some reason they did the *65 thing when setting me up at the store. I didn't think to undo what I assumed hadn't been done in the first place. Plus I'm a little timid at button pushing. :smileyhappy:.

I know you solved the problem already and good thing. In case anyone else runs into this thread in the feature also check your caller ID settings. Sometimes I'll set my caller ID to private and forget about it. I'll call a friend and have my number blocked. Then have to go in & change my caller ID to show number
