Maybe you're on the fringe of the 4G areas? If you are in a definite 4G area, has your Bionic accessed 4G?

If you haven't already, you can go to this link:
4G LTE Network | Verizon Wireless
then scroll to the bottom and enter your address or zip code and see where 4G is in your area.
If you don't have 4G in your immediate area, at the top of that same page, you can enter your e-mail address to be notified of when 4G will be active in your area.

They always ask if you're in a 4G area or fringe area. The phones are defective. I went through 4 Nexus phones with the same problem. Now I'm dealing with the same exact problem with my wife's Bionic. When I put the SIM card in my other Samsung Charge the 4G works flawlessly. If you ask me, the fact that all these 4G phones are defective is Verizon's most hidden secret. Do a search on it.

I want to make sure you make unhappygirl a happygirl!
You mentioned you have the Bionic, therefore I want to make sure I give you some settings to check on the Bionic to see what we have going on.
If you are in a 4G area with a 4G device, we should be set to go. Let's get 4G to work for you!
With that being said, I want you to remove/reinsert the SIM
http://bit.ly/POXGF0.
Ensure airplane mode & WiFi are disabled and enable data on the device http://bit.ly/SSEM4S.
Next, enable data roaming http://bit.ly/QHUO1f.
Please let us know what happens when you have completed these steps. If it still doesn't work, you should take the phone to the store to get a brand new SIM card.
