What update are you asking about? They constantly update google navigation.

You can see if an app has an update or not by going to...

• Market
• menu
• downloads
• look to see if the navigation app has an update

If the app doesn't then there is no update for it

okay there is an update for google maps but it says update (manual), what does this mean

Just means that permissions have been changed in the update so you'll have to go to the app info page and update rather than being able to use Update All.  The update doesn't have anything to do with the voice though.  Just a couple UI and other changes.

It means that it will not automatically update (if you have it set to update auto.)

This update came today, 9/9/10.

The update included a search bar and walking navigation.
