Need help syncing and a few others

I am a previous BlackBerry Curve user and just last week switched to Droid 2 Global.  Some of the functions I loved about my BB Curve and I am not finding out how I can do it on my D2G.  If someone can help me out that would be great.

1.  How can you sync your calendar with your contacts so that their bdays/anniversarys show up in my calendar?

2.  How can you reply back to sms facebook text status updates, sync ur FB events with the D2G calendar, upload pictured via email and NOT have to log into FB?

I was able to do all this on my BB and can't do it on the D2G.  Thanks

So what I really need help with is syncing.  I need to know how to snyc my contact to my phones calendar so that their bdays and anniversarys will automatically post there.  Someone plz help me...thanks

I am glad you were able to resolve the Facebook issue. From my understanding, you have your contacts' birthdays in Contacts, but want to transfer those to your calendar. There is not a setting in the phone to sync those from contacts to calendar. Do you have those birthdays in your calendar on Outlook or a different calendar on your computer? If so, you can transfer calendar appointments from Outlook to Gmail, and those will show up in the phone.

You will need to export from Outlook, Outlook Express first. Look here for instructions. Then import them to Gmail using these instructions.

I don't have them in outlook, and I don't use Gmail.  So I guess my smart phone isn't so smart?

Is there a way to upload my contact onto my computer and import that information into outlook so that I can put them on my calendar on the phone?

if you have myverizon & backup assistant, from within ba on a pc/mac, you can save/export the contacts as a csv file and import them into outlook.
