They removed the option for notifications of updates. I have specifically turned to notifications off. After the update I was again getting told I had an update for a pre-installed application. Grrr!
I was able to make it quiet again for now by clearing the cache, data uninstalling the updates and a force close. The offending app is no longer listed in "My Apps" to prompt me every couple of days. The new market version reinstalled itself after I opened the application again.
I also sent an email to the Google Market asking to add the notification feature back in to the options.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I had the un-official version, got the official version last week. It looks too cluttered, but I have gotten used to that. There is no way to search specific venues such as just apps or books. The comments for apps are not in chronological order, and my biggest concern is when there is an update for an app, you open the app and the only choices are open or uninstall. After a while open changes to update.

I guess it will take some time. It isn't like pushing an upgrade to a million phones or so. This upgrade will be pushed to all android phones. The last I heard Google was activating 500,000 Android operating system phones EVERY DAY!
So I guess I'll just prepare to wait.... getting used to it with the Bionic release and Froyo updates etc. Haha!

I got the new Android Market sometime this afternoon here in Hawaii. I had checked the market around 2pm (still had old market) and then about 5:30pm I checked and had the new market.
So far not sure if I like it but I'm not a big one for change when I have something that works. I'm sure it'll grow on me but I have one question..... When I used to click on "My Apps" when in the market, my apps came up and showed which ones, if any, needed to be updated. With the new market, the list of my apps is shown, they don't show which, if any, are available to be updated, Does anyone know how we'll know which apps have an update available?
Thanks,

If it isn't showing that you have apps that need to be updated, you don't have any apps that need to be updated.
When you do, they will show at the very top of my apps.
