This is really irritating me, since I consider this a quite basic feature and myself technically proficient. I've migrated from the HTC Ozone to the Droid 2 Global, but so far I haven't been able to show the following, on my home screen, lock screen, or preferably both - even after downloading (and paying for) dozens of apps:
I've downloaded different loaders, live wallpapers, and widget packs but for some reason haven't found one that can do this (usually showing new Exchange messages is the problem).
Just a number of the different message types is all I want (like the homescreen on the Ozone) that I can click through to jump to that inbox. I also haven't found a way to directly link to my Exchange account without using the unified inbox - the unified inbox really just adds a step for me since facebook, linked in, personal email, work email, and sms all have vastly different priorities I would never want to see them all in one box.
Also, can the settings for the blinking LED be modified to show the above or some combination thereof?
I really don't like or use any google services such as gmail, so having everything linked to that to me is quite annoying. Getting more disapointed with my android experience by the day...
I've found that it's basically impossible to show this information, specifically for your exchange mail. I've resorted to downloading Launcher 7, which does most of what I want except show new Exchange Emails. Why Motorola and Android would skip that functionality is beyond me.
