I ordered my droid x and it shipped for roughly $100. I wanted to use my new every two discount but I don't want to activate it on that line. Will I have any trouble activating the droid x on a different number in my family plan?

Nope, you should be able to add it to whatever number on the account you would like. You may have to call VZW and have it set to that number though, I don't think Android activation works like the *228 option 3 on older devices, I could be wrong tho.

Option 3 will work, but i would actually call care or go into a corporate store location to have it done with no problems.

You will have to use the NE2 discount on that line that it is applied under. However, If you wanted to use someone else's upgrade, then you can do that, but you will not be able to switch your NE2 to a different line. Hope this helps

I don't think you understood what the OP was asking. He already ordered the phone with his Primary line's NE2, he is going to keep his Primary line's phone. He will then add the phone purchased with his Primary line's NE2 to his secondary line's number which is on the same family plan.
If you are saying this is not possible then I do believe you are mistaken because I have done it before myself, as well as on many posts throughout the internet within the last few weeks, people have done the same thing.

My droid x has arrived but I can't activate it yet because my phone with my primary number is not with me right now. But later tonight I should be able to. I need to activate it on my primary number before I can transfer it over to my secondary line.

@Pureblood, I do apologize for misunderstanding your question. Yes, you will be able to activate the phone on a different line once you receive it.

you can activate your phone online to a different number on your account via... My Verizon Home>I want to..>Activate Phone
then just type in your MEID and the number you want to switch to on your account
