New information on update

Just got off the phone with a Verizon tech support and a hct tech support in a three way conversation. This is the information I received. Verizon rep said they were not responsible for rolling out the update, so I had him call the htc people so we could figure out what was going on. OK so the htc rep gets on and the Verizon guy ask about the update and htc says the only update we have for the incredible was 2.1. Not froyo 2.2.  that update is carrier specific htc says The htc rep hangs up and the Verizon tech doesn't have to much to say. What I did learn and already knew was that we should all have  the update within 9 more days. Oh when I first call to get to Verizon tech support I spoke to a lady and told her how fustrated I was and she said [I know how u feel I just my my update yesterday and that it was not the full froyo package. ie missing 720 camera and recording] so after an hour and a half I don't know any more than I did when I woke up. Good job Verizon

Hmm hopefully she was talkinh about the droid 1. I dont know. But its usually the carrier who sends the update since htc has.no way to roll it out or htc could have put it in thier site.to manually download

neither reps that you got know what they are talking about. this obviously shows 720p cam. they just like to point the finger at each other, since, unfortunately, their own employers keep THEM in the dark as well.

My point exactly both reps have different answer, it was amusing to have them both on the line at the same time. And the lady was talking about the incredible

You got fooled by the DROID terminology. Check the sites regarding the RUU file leaked. It's for sure the update. It's got it all!

I know what it has just repeating what she said to me. Because my point to her was oh I see Verizon reps already have their update for the incredible

Not true necessarily... months ago a 720p update rolled out to select few, then the update stopped in prep for this big update.

Read the first thread she received the update yesterday. I not convinced she knows what she was saying LOL
