New user questions about pictures
heyjudewisconsi

I've taken several pictures with my new "X".

I don't have texting/picture sharing enabled with Verizon (really don't want to do texting).  I was told I could "attach" a picture to an email & send it that way.  But I can't find where, in g-mail, to "attach" something.  I also have a Roadrunner email account set up on the "X", & can't find "attach" in that email account either.  Anyone know how to do this?

And - now that I have pictures on the "X", what's the easiest way to get them off, and on to my computer?  Will it work using my USB cable?  Or should I take the micro-SD chip out and put it into my regular (photo) card reader?  And, this will probably sound dumb, but do I have to "save" the pictures to the SD card first?  (the reason I ask this is because my previous phone was an LG_EnV, and I DID have to save any pictures I took, one at a time, to the SD card.

Thanks for your help!!!!

To attach pictures, when you are in an email message, press the menu button (Hardware button, bottom left). The menu that comes up will have a software button called attach. Press that button, then you will get a menu, one item is called camera roll. Press that, and you will see the pictures that you have saved to the SD card.

To download from the X to the computer, the easiest way is to plug in the USB cord. You will get a program that comes up on the computer, one is a phone explorer. Click on that, then click on Phone Files, then look under DCIM for your pictures. You could take the SD card out of the phone and plug that into your computer, but you will need to take the back off the phone, then take the battery out to access the SD card. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.

The pictures are saved to the SD card automatically. Nothing for you to do there.
