Now that we know that the Incredible exists, which would you buy?
I vote Incredible.
Better customer service, VZW will be selling the phone direct and I heard that you can't get the discounted price for the nexus one if you have a family plan on Tmobile. Wonder if it will be the same for VZW. Google did state it would be selling the phone direct. Big plus for the Incredible in my opinion. Last it has HTC sense UI.

I am interested in an Android phone on Verizon, but do not think I would like teh Driod ( Too bulky ) or the ERIS ( Lack of power ).
I want a phone that has 2.1 OS on it.
I have to get a new phone in April. I really hope that a good Android phone is avaliable by then....
Right now, I would probably get a Nexus One, but I am not sure it will be avaliable by April....

The best thing to do is just wait for information to come in . You can check with Engadget on Fridays for FCC filings. My guess is that we will hear something this up coming Mobile World Congress 2010 February 15th-18th in Barcelona. I am sure we will get some info soon.

The confidentiality agreement on these documents is August 6, 2010. So whatever it is it is intended to come out before that but could be that long before released. However, my guess is that it is the Nexus 1 with the new CDMA/GSM chip that will allow the phone to be used on any network.

I sure hope it comes out well before August. I was really hoping for a March/April release, but I may being too optimistic.

I can't recall seeing any GSM specs on the FCC filings. I don't think it's the CDMA/GSM Nexus One because TMobile's N1 is numbered PB99100, and the new ATT N1 is PB99110. This phone is numbered PB31200. Could, be a winmoble phone, or the Incredible. Also if you checked the battery size on the device list in the documents it is a 1300 and the Nexus One is 1400.

The Eris comes with a 1300. Ironically, the Hero comes with a 1350. Go figure. Also funny that the Droid comes with a 16gb card, the Eris an 8gb card, and all the others a measly 2gb card. Marketing...what a racket.

I have heard talk that the Droid Incredible, guessing that's what it will be called , will come with a 16 gig memory card. Not bad. Hope this is true.

Ya know, usage is hard to quantify on a smartphone. I feel I use my Eris quite a bit throughout the day for phone calls, texting, and plenty of web surfing, and it gets me through the day from the time I get up until I go to bed...say 6 AM till 11 PM. By then it's definitely ready for a charge, but I can live with that. But today, I was at the hospital all day with my mother, often in the middle of the building where there was no service. I think it ate up alot of battery power TRYING to get service, so by 6 PM it was begging to be charged, but this was the first time that's ever happened. I kind of anticipated it though, with making lots of calls to family and friends, so I actually had a spare battery in my pocket, but didn't have to use it. That's the best assessment I can give you. I vote Nexus One. Power! Look at the specs. The Nexus one has more RAM (512 veruses 256). Plus, The Nexus One is unlocked and not subject to OTA update restrictions placed by the carrier.
Hurry up spring, I do dream of electronic sheep!

Good point. I am not sure if the 256 RAM is set in stone, from most of the news I have been hearing it is supposed to be a tad more advance than the N1. High Def video, optical mouse, HTC sense UI ( which if you haven't seen it on a phone yet you should, very sweet). But don't get me wrong, the N1 is a great phone, before I learned about the Incredible I was all over it. Its just how Google is distributing the phone that I am not crazy about. I like going to VZW an actually trying out the phone prior to purchase, as service is another concern. I need my phone and If it breaks I need a replacement that day. I don't want to wait for Google or HTC to mail me a new one. Their current policy is they mail you a new phone and when you receive it you my your old phone back. Don't think that will work for me. I have also heard talk that Google only gives a discount to Individual accounts not family plans. If this is true why would I pay full price for a N1 when I could pick up the Incredible with similar specs at a discounted price.
Like I said the N1 is a great phone and if it fits for you than great. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with it, I just like to look at the big picture when deciding on a new device.
