Woke up this AM and can't use the cell signal to access the internet. It worked when I turned the phone off last night. WiFi works and so does the phone, just no 3G. Anyone else, or anyone have ideas on my settings? I do have data enabled and background data enabled.

I don't have a global droid 2, regular droid 2, but I lost internet connection yeterday. I did a *228 update, and it fixed my problem. Good luck!
On your device you will want to perform a soft reset. A soft reset is the most useful tool for resolving a variety of issues. In most cases, a soft reset will not affect data on the device, unless the battery is very low.
Once this has been performed, you can power the device back on and dial *228 press send and when provided the options, select option 1 to re-program.
Where are you located? There are a few of us in another thread who are located in the NorthEast US that have been experiencing problems with the 3G network all day. I just tried *228 and it didn't make any difference.
i cant do this soft reset because im in alaska, and technically shouldnt be able to get 3g cuz there are no towers up here. it was activated in the lower 48 and then brought up here. for all i know i could be getting the signal from russia..but all i know is my 3g is gone, and has been since about 5pm. tried all sorts of settings and nothing is working.
