My husband and I just got new Droid Incredible 2 by HTC phones. We have had no problems until my husband is traveling. When he is in our local area, his phone works fine. When he travels, he does not receive calls, they go straight to VM. Texting works and he'll get VM messages, but when I try to call him it just goes straight to VM. He was in VA at the beginning of the week and this was the first we discovered that his phone would not work. Then as soon as he was back in ATlanta, he started receiving calls. Now he is in MN, and he's not getting calls again. So far he has done *228, option 2 to update roaming, and he has also done *720, to make sure call forwarding was off, and lastly, he has done a factory reset, by *228, option 1. He is not happy and is traveling on business, so it's kind of important that his phone is working. Any suggestions or advice?? TIA!

Its a huge priority to be able to receive calls when traveling. How many bars of signal is he getting in that area? One thing I noticed from your post *72 (then the number you want it forwarded to ) then send turns on call forwarding to turn off call forwarding you would dial *73 then send . If he is still having problems please PM me and I will be glad to troubleshoot with you to ensure the device works properly.
Thank you

Thank you for the suggestion. I texted my husband (can't call him, cause it goes straight to VM), and had him try this. He responded back that it was already set to automatic. No luck. But thank you for responding!

If the phone is set to global I've had it say that it can't find a network and once it tried looking for vodaphone, which is in Europe. So I would make sure you set the phone to cdma mode its in the settings.

Was a solution found for this topic? I have the same problems with not receiving calls and delayed text messages from people not in my local area.
I also have the HTC Incredible 2 phone and live in Atlanta.
I have not received calls and I have received delayed text messages from people in Arizona and Alabama (that I know of so far) when I had full service and battery. The person in Arizona uses Verizon and the person in Alabama uses AT&T.
