I have a droid incredible and it has been awesome until now... I have a low space indicator in my notification bar that wont go away no matter what I do and sometimes there will be two of them up there. As of yesterday evening I wasn't able to receive text messages. I went to the Verizon store and they said I had to many pictures. So I deleted some of them and I am still not getting my messages. Someone please help this is torture!!!!!!!

I am in the same boat as you. I have not been receiving text messages for 8 days now. Restarted my Droid multiple times, removed the battery, nothing is helping. I would say it makes me feel better to know it isn't just me, but it does NOT. It makes me want to let my contract run out on all EIGHT LINES and tell Verizon GOOD BYE.

Hmmm..I'm able to send texts, but not receive them..this just started last night. I've pulled the battery, deleted all the messages I had stored, and even went as far as doing a factory reset..nothing worked. Now im on hold with tech support as they run a troubleshoot.. =(  Plz post and let me know if you get something to work..

Talked to HTC support and they have provided a hot fix for the text message issues ... it can be found here: http://dl3.htc.com/misc/inc8049.apk

To install the fix you need to do the following:

  1. Go to settings
  2. Go to applications
  3. Check the "Unknown Sources" checkbox
  4. Open browser
  5. Type in this url and then hit enter key: http://dl3.htc.com/misc/inc8049.apk
  6. Go to notifications and find the download complete notification and click it
  7. Click Install
  8. Click Open
  9. Wait

This fixed all my problems with text messages.

Thank you so much, as soon as I did that I got a stream of all the texts that were sent in the past 2 days.
