Not recieving SMS messages from Bank! Please help.

The problem I am having is this:

I have mobile online banking that I use to be able to check my bank account information. Since I have just switched to Verizon from AT&T I have had to re-do my bank account info.  So I have to re-verify my phone number to continue to get messages. The problem is I am not recieving the SMS text messages from the bank with my verification code. This is what the bank is saying could be wrong:

"""Please verify that your cell phone is capable of sending and receiving SMS or premium text messages to use all the features of Mobile Banking. You must have premium text messaging to receive the verification code in your phone. To do so, please contact your cellular carrier customer service or refer to your cell phone's manual.""

My plan is the 1400 Nationwide talk and unlimitied text and Data.

So what is wrong and why can't I recieve the texts from my bank? I am able to recieve any and all text messages from friends and family.

Please help.                                   I have a Droid X.

This may sound stupid but you may want to call Verizon and make sure you have a text messaging plan, it is seperate from the data plan.

Premium text messaging has to be added to your account.  You can add it online or over the phone.  However be advised, there are some conniving persons that get a hold of Cellphone numbers and send them premium messages which are billed to your VZW account.

I have mobile banking on my phone from two different banks and Premium texting is not a requirement.  I have had premium services turned off after a "unknown" put a $9.99 charge on my wife's phone.  I would caution against Premium texting!  It's good in theory, but can be a nightmare in practice.

That's what I was getting at.  It's odd that the bank would require Premium Texting.

I got a txt once that was from a strange number and the text said something about "Verizon Wireless:this message not delivered due to Premium Texting Block"  Or something along those lines.  When I looked up the number on google it pulled up a scam where someone was putting multiple $15.99 charges onto peoples accounts.

If it said it was blocked then you have this feature activated on your account, I have recieved that a while back from a site I access to get daily updates that was reported to be free but they charged 9.99 a month, now all Premium Messages is blocked....  Did you read the information on Verizons site I link you to, it should explain everything.
